MojoPages Gets a Jumpstart with Video

MojoPages, a web 2.0 startup has taken an incredibly creative approach to generating buzz for its launch. The company, led by John Carder formerly of ClientShop has partnered with video site Veoh to profile the 30 day run up to the launch of its product.

At the moment, it’s the first video that launches upon visiting Veoh, which I’ve embedded at the end of this post.

The Company: MojoPages seeks to combine the information of the yellow pages with the community reviews of a social networking site. The videos, which run approximately 10 minutes in length do a nice job of profiling the company. The team seems to understand their roles well, while respecting the value the others bring to the table.

Although the site isn’t available for public consumption, you can check out their blog here.

The Partnership: Clearly, both Veoh and MojoPages benefit from the relationship. Veoh benefits from the traffic and the appearance of a quality video series (which I should mention Kevin Popovic produced it) on their site. At the same time, MojoPages generates some fantastic buzz about the company and the product itself.

So What? Overall, a great idea from a company that clearly is doing the right things to launch its product with the excitement and buzz that can only benefit a start up in this busy 2.0 landscape.

    Brendan,
Thanks for the nice post about what we are doing at MojoPages.com The video’s are a ton of work but have been very well recieved… so much so that we have just decided to keep them rolling every week… even after our alpha launch.

We have been very happy with the progress and comments and feedback that our readers are giving us on our blog. It is also noteworthy that we keep getting great mentions in the blogosphere by bloggers like yourself. ;)
    Thanks
