BlackBerry Durability in Full Effect

I live in suburban D.C. and am lucky enough to have the escalator to the metro literally 5 feet outside of my building. Unfortunately, all of my senses aren’t completely functioning by the time I jump on the escalator in the early a.m.

This week I had the misfortune of juggling and ultimately dropping my Blackberry 8703e at the top of a long escalator ride. To my dismay, I watched as the device, out of its hard shell case at this point, fell all the way to its peril at the bottom of the escalator, or so I thought.

As I approached my beloved tech toy, I expected to see shards of plastic screen, a battery tossed aside and maybe even a loose wire or two.

To my surprise, not a thing was wrong. Save for a few nicks on the plastic, the BlackBerry was completely fine. No scratches on the screen, no keys malfunctioning and all the emails still quickly arriving.

Why do I share this with you? All too often I read complaints about devices not functioning as they should, but in this case, the product far surpassed my expectations.

One more reason to love my BlackBerry.
