Cool Product from Traditional Media

Yesterday, Jennifer Crandall a colleague at Washingtonpost.Newsweek Interactive, launched a terrific new feature called onBeing.
As Jen explains it, onBeing
is a project based on the simple notion that we should get to know one another a little better. It’s a series of videos that takes you into the musings, passions, histories and quirks of all sorts of people. The essence of who they are, who we are.
A new video will be launched every Wednesday. What’s especially cool is not just the content but the technology around it. You can expand the videos on the fly. You can switch the quality of the footage to HD, if your monitor allows it. You can click on the “Video Downloads” button under each video and download to QuickTime, Windows Media or even a 3rd Generation (3G) cell phone.
This is the first of many projects being rolled out by Rob Curley’s team, who have been brought in specifically for this type of creative, innovative and interactive content.
It’s exciting to see this product launch and what else might come down the pike from Rob, Jenn and the rest of the team.
