Jetblue Gets It

Great info over on on a shel of my former self about Jetblue’s response to recent woes.
David Neeleman, the company’s CEO, clearly gets it. He takes his message to the masses through a medium (YouTube) that he knows will be viewed by many people quickly (22,500 views since yesterday). If nothing else, it will get picked up by blogs like this and distributed throughout the blogosphere.
Not only does Mr. Neeleman address the problem going forward but he makes the correction retroactive-something most “traditional” airlines likely wouldn’t do.
As Shel points out:
JetBlue also announced its new delayed passenger reimbursement program, which it has made retroactive to February 15 to accommodate everyone who was stuck last week:
* 1-2-hour delay: $25 off a future flight
* 2-4-hour delay: $50 off a future flight
* Delay of six-plus hours: Free round-trip ticket
I love it when leaders do the right thing. I love it even more when they communicate it to consumers in a cool, innovative fashion as David Neeleman, has done here.

Looks like the blogosphere is gaga over this except that he never once says that he is sorry. I still love what he has done
