Ars Technica-Sharp Looking Site
In Site Review | no comments yet | permalink
Was reading Paul Stamatiou’s feed when I came across this post about the redesign of Ars Technica.
Now, I must admit I’ve been to the site before and thought it was nice, but this redesign just makes you go “WOW.” So much going on but in a well-defined and easy to find way. As a guy who works in digital media, I appreciate how they’ve seemlessly positioned the ads into the content. I love the spacing (and coloring) that they give to the headings as you’ll see in the location of the “home” button or the RSS button. The new section tabs are nice as well.
What I find especially nice is their post in which they highlight the changes and discuss why they made them. They even go so far as to tell their readers why they got rid of some things…talk about engaging your readers-very impressive.
So What? Just a nicely designed site that’s very easy on the eyes. Great find Paul!
