TechCrunch Hires CEO

According to a post over on GigaOm, Mike Arrington has hired Heather Harde, senior vice president of mergers and acquisitions at Fox Interactive, to become TechCunch’s new CEO.
Neither TechCrunch nor Fox Interactive Media could be reached for comment.
What does this mean for TechCrunch? I can’t help but wonder if the hiring an M&A expert could lead to some (significant) expansion of the budding media company.
Certainly this makes for some exciting news.
Update: Michael Arrington confirms the news that Heather Harde will be joining TechCrunch as CEO. Congrats on what sounds like a great hire.
